How not to lose your mind bidding for jobs online and why you want to try it!
>> FREE downloadable eBook Included in class! <<
I can’t stand bidding on jobs. I really can’t. You can’t help feeling cheap and underrated if you get the job, and you feel lame and unappreciated if you don’t! But what if I told you I am an honest-to-goodness success story when it comes to bidding. I’ve met some of my very best and WORLD FAMOUS brand clients through the process. And it’s those AWESOME clients that made it so I never have to bid again (unless I want to – which I DON’T) It’s an awful necessary evil in the freelance creative world, but it can be made better (and MUCH more successful) with just a few tweaks.
There are lots of ways to build your portfolio, meet new clients and make money with graphic design. One of those avenues is online bid-for-work websites like Upwork. These sites let you upload your portfolio, check out job listings, and offer a bid to do the work based on the client’s description of the job they need to be done.
Seems easy enough? Not always!
If you are…
- Bidding on everything and not getting any work
- Thinking about joining but not sure how to begin
- Wondering if online job bidding is for you at all
- Ready to give up entirely
… Then you are in the right place!
Before spending hours perfecting your presentation only to spend more hours chasing work that never comes, you’ll want to take this class.
I’ll share my own trials, tips, tricks, mistakes, even my sample cover sheet I use when I bid for jobs myself!
Many of my very best clients have come from Upwork (previously known as eLance) but it did take me a while to get the hang of it. Over the years, I’ve boiled it down to a few easy-to-follow rules and hacks that get me through the bidding process faster and with clearer communication.
It IS worth it to hang in there, and I’m here to help!
